4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to provide our Service:

Supabase (Database & Authentication)

Your account data, quiz history, and progress are stored securely with Supabase. Supabase is GDPR compliant and uses industry-standard encryption. View Supabase's privacy policy at https://supabase.com/privacy

Quiz content

Quiz questions are pre-authored and stored in our application. Your quiz answers and scores are stored in Supabase. We do not send your data to third-party AI services for quiz generation at runtime.

Paddle (Payments)

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where required by law to retain it longer.

7. Children's Privacy

Our Service is intended for students aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

8. Anonymised and Aggregated Data

Your Privacy is Protected - All Data is Fully Anonymised

RevisionMaster may analyse and sell anonymised, aggregated data insights to third parties including educational publishers, researchers, and education institutions. This data cannot be used to identify you personally. Examples of the type of insights we may sell include: 'students rated specification point X as their most commonly Red-rated topic in AQA Biology' or 'the average quiz score across users for topic group 3 in iGCSE Chemistry is 58%'.

How We Protect Your Privacy:

• All personal identifiers are permanently removed before any data leaves our systems
• Data is grouped with at least 50 other users before any analysis or sale, meaning no individual student's data can be inferred
• Your name, email, and account details are never included in any data sold to third parties
• Geographic data is generalized to regional level only (e.g., "UK students" not "students in Manchester")
• Timestamps are rounded to week or month level, never precise dates/times
• IP addresses are never stored in anonymised datasets
• Quiz answers are aggregated across many users, never individually identifiable

We will ask for your explicit consent to include your data in these anonymised insights during onboarding. You may withdraw this consent at any time through your account settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect your use of RevisionMaster.

9. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity on our Service and hold certain information. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent.
